Ried Johannesbergen Cuvée 2023
The south-southeast-facing Johannesbergen vineyard in Herrnbaumgarten in the northeastern Weinviertel has been known for its white wines for centuries. The continental-Pannonian climate and the loess soils traversed by the Falkenstein limestone veins bring freshness, elegance, structure, and unmistakable character.
The combination of spontaneous fermentation and gentle ageing in 500-liter barrels (tonneaux) and clay amphorae is part of the process of preserving the fine elegance and radiance of this special site. Cuvée of Riesling and Grüner Veltliner.
Brilliant yellow-green with flowers, salt breeze and citrus fruits on the nose. On the palate, fresh aromas of stone fruit, orange zest, yellow tropical fruit, mineral-salty, taut and delicate, slender and aromatic, white pepper and fine acidity on the finish.
